Kevin and Linda Paszalek are missionaries with Africa Inland Mission.

Why is Africa always in the news?

Africa is usually in the news because of her problems. Everyone can list them: corruption, AIDS, famine, poverty, oppression.

Not everyone knows the solution.

Each one of these problems has a spiritual component. The only way to truly relieve the suffering of Africa is to transform Africans by the power of Christ and His word. While other humanitarian forms of relief are good, they cannot relieve spiritual problems and transform the culture to bring lasting solutions.

Kevin's ministry at Moffat Bible College strategically addresses the needs of Africa. He helps train Kenyan pastors and Christian workers to bring Christ and His word to their own people so that their cultures are transformed for the glory of God and for the good of everyone in their society.

Christ is the hope of Kenya and Africa!

Our ministry is to develop Kenyan pastors and Christian workers at Moffat College of Bible through teaching church history, mentoring students, and through short term mission trips to serve Moffat Alumni.

The absence of a trained pastor is the norm in Kenya. One Kenyan pastor told me that one district had an average of 3 churches per pastor and that at for a brief period he had pastored four churches at a time. He guesses on the average pastors take care of between 5-7 churches.

Moffat College of Bible began in 1929 with four students. Today it has an enrollment of over 100, including students from several unreached people groups!

Kijabe is about an hour (if the traffic is good) northwest on a good road from Nairobi. The mission station at Kijabe was founded 100 years ago and now is home to Moffat College of Bible, Kijabe Hospital (a teaching hospital for Kenyan doctors), AIC Cure Childrens' Hospital, a School of Nursing, a printing house, and the world famous Rift Valley Academy.

This is not an official AIM site, but we are official AIM missionaries. From the AIM US website: "Africa Inland Mission exists to declare the Glory of God to the peoples of Africa. We exist to introduce those who have never heard to the One who died to save them - Jesus Christ. We exist to help new believers grow strong and healthy in their faith. We exist to see new believers enfolded into a maturing church. We exist to invest in the lives of current and future church leaders, so they can effectively build into the lives of others and reach out in turn to the vast populations of Africa and beyond."
